I recommend Sir Ken Robinson’s book, Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative and a video of his presentation Do Schools Kill Creativity? which he delivered at the TED conference.

It should be Sir Ken or Sir Ken Robinson. Not Sir Robinson.
Regards.
Thanks, Anon. That one occurrence was a typo which I’ve now corrected.
Really interesting interview, not only does it make me rethink how I work but how I will bring my own child up. Thanks.
Great talk, I can’t get enough of this guy. This time he was giving some positive comments about what can be done now. I have been teaching for 23 years in many countries, in private state, international schools. I was on the verge of leaving education as I feel ‘the men in suits’ have taken over.
If anyone knows any schools that Sir Ken told me about let us know and lets celebrate those schools as beacons!!!!!!!
Hey, Paula. Sir Ken Robinson is one of the people I’d like to have lunch with. Thankfully he’s living. If you haven’t already read it, his book The Element is available and builds on the insight he shared in Out of Our Minds — some of which is mentioned in this interview and in his TED Talk.
